Dick Graham

CEO Financial Markets


RichardMr. Graham founded Affiliated Financial Services in 1983 to exclusively service the financial institution industry. As a leader of a
national marketing firm, he has been published in numerous publications as a recognized expert in the sale of insurance products through financial institutions. With over 25 years’ experience in the financial institutions industry, he has helped Affiliated Financial Services’ clients implement programs, which produced over 7 billion dollars in insurance premiums. Mr. Graham holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in economics from the University of Texas and presently serves on a variety of corporate boards.

 

Jim Booth

Vice President-Business Development

Mr. Booth joined AFS in 2004 and has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. He is a registered principal with experience as a producer, supervisor and sales manager. His various roles have included Investment Specialist, 401(k) Enroller, Branch Manager, Vice President/Regional Manager and an Annuity Development Specialist. He has worked with various banks and brokerage firms including PrimeVest at Commerce Bank, INVEST at Northeast Savings Bank, First Allied Securities, Atlas Securities, Allstate Financial Services, Community First National Bank, and BayBanks Brokerage Services. He holds NASD Series 7, 24, 6, 26, and 63 licenses as well as a Colorado insurance license.

 

 

Mark Bigbee

Vice President-Regional Sales


James
Mark Bigbee brings a 3600 approach to working with retail insurance platform programs. He has several years of experience as an independent agent. He was a manager of a TPA company in Kansas City, an agent/financial services representative at New York Life and SVP at a large regional bank serving as the insurance product manager and sales manager for their retail insurance program. In this last capacity Mark began working with the rest of the team at AFS and was instrumental in developing 1Source as a processing platform for financial institutions. He is an insurance product and sales skill trainer, designing curriculum for new agents, one-on-one coaching and large group training events for both licensed bankers and financial advisors. Mark is a registered principal and holds FINRA Securities Licenses 7, 6, 63, 66, 24, and Life & Health insurance licenses in KS, MO, IA, IL, NE, OK and CO.

 

Steve Boeding

Vice President of Operations


Steve
Mr. Boeding has been involved in many facets of the insurance and financial services business for over 25 years. From his start as a financial analyst and Investment Representative at United Bank of Denver in 1981, through his experiences in high-technology marketing, capital equipment leasing partnerships and sports marketing, Steve is knowledgeable in the hands-on operations of many different businesses. As a result of his 12 years as a broker and partner in a life and health agency specializing in group health, wealth transfer strategies, and life insurance planning, Steve is well versed in the marketing and sales skills necessary to close business and keep trusted clients. Steve graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Finance, earned his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 1986 and received his CLU certification from the American College in 2003.

 

Marcia Garrett

Licensing/Administration


Marcia
Ms. Garrett has held various staff and senior management positions in both the Compliance and Operations areas throughout her career with broker/dealers and insurance agencies in Northern California and Colorado. She became NASD registered in 1984 and holds NASD Series 4, 7, 24, 27, 53, 63, and 66 licenses, and is currently studying for her Colorado Life and Health insurance license. She also serves as the compliance officer for AFS. Marcia attended Barnes Business College in Denver and joined AFS in 2000.

 

Beth Dotson

Finance/Commission Accounting

BethMrs. Dotson has 23 years experience in the Accounting field. A native of Ohio, she spent the first 5 years of her career at a Law Firm in charge of financial reporting for 9 attorneys. She then worked at a CPA firm as a Public Accountant preparing financial statements for several companies. At the CPA firm, she also initiated an on-site training program for their clientele. Beth opened her own Accounting practice after moving to Colorado and joined AFS in 2001 as the Staff Accountant. Beth is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, payroll, commissions, and contract maintenance.
